Story time!
So instead of sitting in my bed being all cry baby I decided to ride my bike to half priced books. ( I joined a book club and need to get reading!) So I get almost there and realize I forgot my bike lock.
Victory number two: I didn't get mad or pissy at myself. Just rode home found it and headed back out!
Victory number three: While shopping I smiled at some lady. Then in the checkout line she was behind me and struck up a convo:
Her: If I could hear the music on your back what would it sound like?
Me: A lot like Neil Diamond's Cracklin' Rosie. It's the line that goes, "No need to say please to no man for a happy tune".
Her: Oh.
Me: I got it to remind myself that you need to find happiness within yourself.
Her: Find your own song within.
Me: Exactly.
Her: When Neil was here in the 70s I didn't go see him.
Me: Well if he comes back this way we can go together.
Her: Ok! But I don't have your number.
And that's how I made a new friend at Half Priced Books!
I feel like the lesson I learned from the universe was if you take care of yourself the world will take care of you....

Disclaimer: I'm a dreamer.
I've known for quite a while now, that it's really a common thing for me to make big plans with someone and change them. I may need to learn something from this.
I really do alot of dreaming and fantasizing. I have alot of crazy ideas that I'd like to follow through with, but the reality is that I don't know which plans will come into reality and which won't. I'm reluctant to make set plans and commitments for this reason, but at the same time, I like to develop these ideas with my friends with the hopes that something amazing will come of it.
I wonder if its lack of commitment or more lack of responsibility....or just floating around without a care in the world. The problem is that it effects others when they have invested, or committed more to it, while it was more like a fantasy for me.
My heart and soul cares about those feelings I may be hurting, but my physical body and the world I live in, takes me in all sorts of directions. I like allowing that to happen. I'm not in control. Im along for the ride, watching the movie of my life, and I'm alive in all those moments. I know my transience has its effect on others, and I care, I don't want to hurt anyone...but our feelings are our own to feel and understand. I hope that people will tell me when I hurt them, but not expect me to fix everything. Knowing how I make people feel will be my teacher.

Your Pressence Has An Affect On Others!
How Do We Affect The People In Our Lives?
I definitely feel that we have an affect on everyone in our lives in some way or another. I know that I have people who affect me daily, and I have been told many times that I have changed someones day, or influenced some aspect of their life.
Some friends make me feel silly, laughing and joking endlessly, sometimes making no sense at all. With a few close friends I have amazing, conscious conversations, clicking into my inner spiritual awareness, and these profound insights flow out of us like magic. There are others that make me feel adventurous, give me confidence, and inspire me. Others still, who bring me down, and it is a challenge for me to keep my energy with them.
There have been some friends and acquaintances who have told me how I have inspired them. They havefollowed my adventures online, and told me of their dreams to travel. Sometimes people ask me for advice or guidance when they have a personal problem to deal with. Others say that they have felt a calming energy in my presence. They are telling me that we affect eachother!
It is very important to be aware of how we affect eachother. We all have the power to change a life, or a day for better or worse. Whether it's your loved ones, or a perfect stranger, handling interactions with love and kindness will enrich the lives of you and everyone around you

Bite The Bullet & Have That Difficult Conversation!
“A person's success in life can usually be measured by the number of uncomfortable conversations he or she is willing to have.” -Timothy Ferriss, The 4 Hour Workweek.
This quote has been rattling around in my brain since I first became aware of it a couple months ago. I have been trying my hardest to not shy away from the hard conversations I need to have with others. What I have found is that the fear of having the conversation is way worse than the actual conversation ends up being.
Do you know why these hard conversations are directly tied to your success like Mr. Ferriss claims? Because you cannot move forward by skipping out of a difficult conversation. You will forever be dragging that ball and chain behind you until you turn around and face the issue head on.
And guess what happens when you do? You feel lighter. You feel lighter, because you've released yourself from the great weight you had been pulling behind yourself for however long since you decided to take what you thought at the time was the easier route. Little did you know you were creating way more problems for yourself than if you just would have had the conversation in the first place.
I recently had two very hard to have conversations, and I am going to be one hundred percent completely honest. I feel weird. I did not realize the energy that I was sending to these conversations I wasn't having. So now I feel as if I don't know what to do with this excess energy, but I have a feeling that the situation I now find myself in will get better with time. And I can tell you I sure do feel a hellavu lot lighter.

There is no why.
For some reason lately I have had several people ask me why they are going through the troubles they are going through. And each time all I can think of is the quote in the image above.
We all repeat the well known saying of "Hindsight is 20/20". However when we are knee deep in the muck we cannot seem to remember that after we get out we will better understand why we were there in the first place.
What I have learned from this is to not ask why. It is purely a waster of time, energy, and other resources.
Take the test life has given you, and you will receive the answers in due time, in divine time.

Fear Is Just An Indicator!
Yesterday I was helping out a friend with some of her worries and fears, and I asked her...
"Do you think people would pay me to advise them in life like I do you?"
She said, "You'd be an awesome life coach!"
I then started to share with her my fears. "My ego says, who are you to be a life coach?"
She then asked, "Well Lisa, Who are you?"
I cried.
It isn't the fact that I do not know who I am, but in that very moment I realized that I do know who I am. I know that inside me lives all the greatness that ever lived! That it is inside everyone. But I was still scared.
It is not a bad thing to be scared. Actually think of it as the indicator of life. When something scares the shit out of you... That is what you need to do!
So I took my fear and turned it into those twenty seconds of brave courage!
Now I have two coaching clients. They are not paying clients, but someday I will have them.
Everyone has to start somewhere and this is my where.
The lesson is...
Fear is just an indicator, and to move past it with action and on the other side of it is where all your dreams are! So take that leap!

Recieve When You Need, Give When You Can.
When I first arrived in Calgary, I had no money at all well...less than $2
I was walking around and these tourists asked me to take a group photo of them.
We started talking, and through our conversation the guy figured out that I was broke, and gave me $40!!
I was shocked, and I graciously accepted...he said "just pay it forward"
So later on I was walking around and saw an old lady collecting bottles and cans and I walked by her...then I thought... I could give her something... I would have been extremely happy if that guy only gave me $20... so I gave her half she was Chinese, and could barely speak English, but we had a little conversation, and I loved her :)
The End
I learned that...
My whole trip from Ontario to Alberta I was broke, and I was happy... Everything was being provided for me.
With $40 I had more than I needed, and the $20 I gave her probably made a difference to her. She was very grateful, and it felt good to give back after receiving so much over the past week.
